To-Do List & Christmas Craft To-Do List Updates

So I’ve been slacking a little bit on my crochet/knitting…and really it’s only because I’ve been addicted to reading again. I’ve added way more projects to my To-Do List than I can really handle but I figure the more stuff I have to keep myself busy the less time I have to think about things that bother me (which is really all my crafting & reading addiction are there for). Work in Progress Wednesday

I’ve only been working on Carla’s scarf this week and I’ve made a bit of progress! I started the green portion of it last night Hoping I can get this one done quick and finish the baby blankets so I can start the stitch-cation and KAL that I want to do. If I don’t have time I won’t be doing the stitch-cation afghan. I know I have the yarn for it but I can always just use it for baby hats for donation. Which is probably a better idea anyways.

So I’ve been working my butt off on these baby blankets and I’m so close to being finished the 3 of them!! So far I have 1 completed and the other 2 waiting for borders & weaving in the ends. I’ve also made some progress on Carla’s scarf I’m working on it while at work since it’s just straight knit stitches until I run out of yarn to knit with. I still have A LOT to do but I’m getting closer to finishing at least 1 project I promise to get better pictures of the baby blankets once they’re all done…

Fasten off Friday

SO I haven’t done a WIP post in 2 weeks and I keep meaning to make one XD So instead this week it’s a Fasten off Friday! I’ve been so tired lately and my memory is complete crap so please bare with me On my last WIP post I posted the cowl I made for my friends birthday but it didn’t have the button on it. I finally got the buttons in the mail (actually it didn’t take long at all for the post!) and I have attached said button! I have finally finished my first knitted in the round project!! I am so proud of myself I did run out of yarn so I had to end it 8 rounds before the pattern actually ends but I think it still looks awesome. I do still need to block it but I’ve been too tired and lazy to do that. Read More

I know I know, sooo early for a Christmas post but I have decided that this year everyone is getting something home-made. I can’t afford to buy lots of gifts and I have TONS of yarn so I can make things instead. I already have ideas for some people, but for others I have no clue. I will be buying a few things for my family but that’s it. Carla: scarf & toque Hev: cardigan (unless she wants something else!) Jessica: no idea (Jess I need ideas :P) Mom: purse & scarf Sister: afghan Dad: shirt & jeans (buying) Becca: no idea Boss: something coffee related, possibly making an afghan for his wife & daughter Gift Exchanges: Going to make gift card holders and get Tim Hortons gift cards The girls: softies So far that’s all the ideas I have. I need to go through my yarn stash and delegate Read More

So this week I’ve actually gotten some things done!! I am all caught up with the BAM CAL and I made a birthday gift for a friend. I have also made some progress on my Pineapple CAL! I talked it over with my mom & sister and decided that I’m only making ONE pineapple afghan for Christmas because I just don’t have the time to make 2 this year. Next year I’ll either make another one or find a different afghan to make. Bam CAL June Square: Gift for friends birthday: I still need to add a button to the cuff but I’m waiting for it to come in the mail. I also tested a pattern for Jessica, and I really like it! Now hopefully I can get more of my projects caught up on!

Well I’m almost caught up on a few CALs! Woot I still have a crap ton of squares to make though but I’m taking my time so I don’t get overwhelmed and just give up all together. I’ve done the latest Moogly CAL Square and I did a substitute square for one because I didn’t like the pattern for the one that was out. I finished one of the BAM CAL squares and I still need to do the other one for June but I’m basically caught up on that CAL for the most part. I’ve also gotten my cowl to 50% done! I have to be in the mood to knit and this past week when I’m actually in the mood to knit I’m too damn tired so I don’t dare pick it up because I know I’ll screw something up and have to start all over again and Read More
