Work in Progress WednesdayPosted on
This past week I’ve actually done a few things!! 1. I made 7 premie hats for the Crochet for Cancer CAL. You only have to make 4 items but I have soooo much scrap yarn that I wanted to make more! I probably will make a ton more to donate here in town to the hospitals but I haven’t started on that yet. 2. I finished my Moogly CAL square. I liked this pattern a lot, I want to make more squares! 3. Finished my BAM CAL square. Again I loved this pattern too! Even though the middle confused me terribly I still managed to finish it 4. I’m currently working on weaving in all the ends on the rows of squares for my moms blanket. I still need to sew the rows together but I figured it would be way less daunting if I sew in all the ends Read More
Pineapple CAL Check in #1Posted on
Since I had already finished my first 2 squares for this blanket I’m going to use them for my first check in. I need to have 2 of these blankets done for Christmas so doing it in this CAL is going to be perfect for me to stay on schedule. I wasn’t making it on my own lol. 1 blanket will be bordered with red and the other with green. I’m probably going to keep the first 12 squares all with red borders so I can finish 1 blanket at a time. Or I may not…I haven’t decided completely yet! I do know that I am excited – and crazy – to have so many projects on the go at once I think keeping myself busy all the time is what helps me stay healthy – at least in my head.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been doing mostly my CALs. I haven’t started any new projects at all and I’m a little sad about that lol. Although I guess it’s a good thing right? Anyways, here’s a look at what I’ve been doing the past 2 weeks: I’ve finished the Red Heart CAL squares that are out so far. I’m finding these square to be so boring. I’m pretty well into this CAL though so I can’t call it quits. I just wish they’d have more variety to these squares!! I am getting some practice on crochet stitches I didn’t really know how to do before (popcorn, fpdc, & cross stitch), so that’s a good thing I guess. I need to do 9 more regular granny squares for this CAL to get all caught up. I have 1 done in black and 1 done in teal but I’m not Read More

I know the week hasn’t ended yet but I’ve finished my square for this week. I have 3 CALs this week so I’ll be working on them for the rest of it I’ve managed to get ALL of the flowers done, I will just have to add the green borders to make them into actual squares each week until they’re done. I will also be doing regular granny squares too, I still need about 20 of those done. See you next week for week 14!
52 Weeks of Grannies – Week 11 & 12Posted on
This is what I got done in the last two weeks: I’ve almost got all the flowers to the point where they just need borders, I just need to finish the pink rounds and do the yellow rounds. I’m hoping to finish that this week so I can just so one regular granny square and week and one border round on a flower square per week. I’ll be able to finish it a lot faster that way. And I can see if I need to make more squares once I’m done the 52!
